Zach Bryan Lodi When Lyrics:
How just yesterday I was a younger man
And tomorrow I'll be dead
I found you in the in-between
And you'll live forever in my head

If you could write a book on the man that you once were
Would you write about drinking or would you write about her?
If you could just go back to the places you once been
Would you run back to her arms, or back to Lodi when
He made a big mess of all the songs he wrote
Sing to you come daylight, die 'fore he woke

Song about tomorrow, today
How the time stays ticking away
Some dreamer took the wrong train in Lodi whеn
Thought he needed saving again

If you me knew every answer to every question why
Would you have rode the fear, boy, and looked her in the eye?
If you could write a book on the man that you once were
Would you write of the pain, boy, or would you write the cure?

And all of this time you spent looking for a savior
Back in Lodi when you was young
Just to find out you can save yourself
Back in Lodi when you would strum

And all of this time you spent looking for a savior
Back in Lodi when you was young
Just to find out you can save yourself
Back in Lodi when he would strum

Some song about tomorrow, today
How the time stays ticking away
Some dreamer took the wrong train in Lodi when
Thought he needed saving again

If you could write a book on the man that you once were
Would you write about drinking, or would you write about her?
If you could just go back to the places you once been
Would you run back to her arms, or back to Lodi when?
